But what does that claim actually mean, and does it matter as much as it sounds? We’d rather explain it honestly than repeat a phrase just because everyone else does.

Pure beeswax vs beeswax blends: what the difference actually means

A pure beeswax candle is exactly what it sounds like: beeswax and a wick, nothing else. You’ll usually find this in tapers, votives, and simple pillars from beekeepers and small-batch makers who want the wax to speak for itself.

A blended beeswax candle mixes beeswax with another wax or oil. Makers do this for a few practical reasons: a blend can pour more evenly into a jar, hold its shape differently, or carry scent in a way pure beeswax sometimes resists.

We add coconut oil because it helps the wax burn more smoothly and evenly, which matters more to us than chasing a purity claim. Bare is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a straightforward candle that lets the beeswax’s natural, light honey scent come through on its own, without anything layered on top.
